GonActive® eCG is a highly purified preparation of Equine Chorionic Gonadotropin (eCG-PMSG), which allows to obtain a product with an optimal FSH / LH ratio and stable potency, thus guaranteeing uniform results.

Action:
The FSH action of eCG is to promote the growth of the interstitial cells of the ovary, in addition to producing the maturation of the follicles.
Its action as LH is to produce ovulation by acting directly on the ovary.
In males, eCG stimulates the development of interstitial tissue of the testes and accessory glands, such as seminal vesicles and prostate.
GonActive® eCG should be applied to cows, sheep and goats after removing the progesterone-based devices, favoring the initiation of the follicular phase, the manifestations of estrus and ovulation. Given its dual FSH / LH action, GonActive® eCG works by directly stimulating follicular development and ovulation in most domestic species.
Progestins (vaginal sponges, implants, devices, etc.) previously used in many species, inhibit the release of luteinizing hormones (LH) and follicle stimulating (FSH) from the pituitary, slowing ovulation until the desired time. When the progestogens are removed, the administration of GonActive® eCG at that time, enhances the synchronizing action of the progestogens, ensuring a perfect synchrony of fertile heat.
INDICATIONS
Cows (meat / milk) (reproductive efficiency): Heat induction and synchronization and ovulation induction, anestrus. It is used in A.I. programs. and I.A.T.F. in conjunction with intravaginal devices and other hormones such as estradiol benzoate (EstroActive®) and prostaglandin F2α (InducelActive®). It is also used for superovulation in embryo transfer.
Sheep and goats (meat / milk) (reproductive efficiency): Induction and synchronization of heat and induction of ovulation, after using intravaginal devices for sheep and goats whose active principle is progesterone in crystals, anestrus.
Sows: Heat induction and synchronization and ovulation induction, anestrus.
Mares: Heat induction and synchronization and ovulation induction, anestrus.
General indications, in all species, it is indicated for oestrus induction and to remove females from the anestrus.
In males of the different species, GonActive® eCG stimulates the development of the interstitial tissue of the testes and of the sex glands (seminal vesicles and prostate). It is also used to improve semen quality and quantity and libido dysfunction.
Preparation method:
To reconstitute the product, the contents of the solvent bottle must be extracted with a sterile syringe and needle, slowly injecting it into the vial with lyophilized powder, then shaking to obtain a stable solution.
The preparation contains 5000 IU of eCG-PMSG in 25 ml.
