After its parenteral application, it is rapidly absorbed, reaching high blood concentrations in the liver where it is converted into menaquinone, which is the metabolically active form; it also has an affinity for skin and muscle. Excretion is mainly renal and fecal via glucuronated and sulphated conjugates.
Vitamin K3 plays an essential role in blood coagulation, it is involved in the synthesis of circulating prothrombin for the production of thrombin; in turn, thrombin is converted to fibrinogen and finally to fibrin.
Vitamin K plays an important role in the synthesis of prothrombin and of coagulation factors VII, IX and X.
Vitamin K also helps convert liver glucose to glycogen.
DOSE:
Cattle and horses: 25 to 50 mL per animal.
Pigs, sheep and goats: 1 to 5 mL per animal.
Canines and felines: 1 to 5 mL per animal.
To prevent bleeding in surgical interventions, start the application three days in advance.
Use in: Bovines, Equines, Calves, foals, sheep, pigs, canines and feline piglets
Formula Each 100 mL contains: Vitamin K 32 g Vitamin P 1 g Vehicle, c.b.p. 100 mL.
Intramuscular and / or topical route of administration.
Presentation: 25, 50 and 100 mL.
