The ITPP (Myo-Inositol Trispyrophosphate) is a substance primarily investigated in the medical field for its ability to improve tissue oxygenation. It works by increasing oxygen affinity to hemoglobin, facilitating oxygen release to tissues. In the case of camels, the interest in ITPP could be linked to their ability to withstand extreme heat and dehydration, potentially enhancing muscle oxygenation and physical endurance.
Myo-inositol trispyrophosphate (ITPP) is used to increase the amount of oxygen in hypoxic tissues. Studies have shown that administration of ITPP increases the maximal exercise capacity.
