The main action of dexamethasone is to suppress the inflammatory response quickly and efficiently reducing the intensity of the vasodilation or hyperemia, exudation, leukocyte infiltration, which integrate some of the cardinal signs of inflammation; so, it becomes one of the most powerful antiinflammatory drugs, with a capability 30 times higher than hydrocortisone taken as a base, turning Artidexa Chinfield into the local usage choice drug in non-infectious processes, as well as in other disorders where an immediate activity of corticoids is needed.
INDICATIONS:
Localized or generalized allergic or inflammatory signs. Neuritis, tendinitis,
bursitis, arthritis, myalgias. Eczemas, hives, anaphylactic and/or traumatic shock.
TARGET SPECIES:
Sport and working equines not intended for human food consumption.
POSOLOGY, DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
According to professional criterion.
SUGGESTION OF INTERVALS BETWEEN APPLICATIONS:
a) 24 hours for intravenous or intramuscular injection.
b) In local infiltrations, intrasynovial and intraarticular, the dose will be repeated according to the professional criterion.
c) In case of anaphylactic shock, intravenous every 4 hours or according to
professional criterion.
