Imidocarb dipropionate is found in the formulation of IMIPLASM-B®, which is an anti-haematozoon belonging to the group of diaminidines. This substance controls the babesias and anaplasmas found in the blood, reducing their number; by not completely eradicating them, it allows the parasitized animal to develop a solid immunity against this pathological entity. Moreover, imidocarb maintains a preventive effect against the disease up to 1 month after treatment. IMIPLASM-B® has the following mechanism of action: It inhibits the energy metabolism and the synthesis of DNA of the parasite. In the first case, it blocks the aerobic metabolism of glucose, in the second, it inhibits DNA synthesis, and this is observed in the nucleus of the cells and the kinetoplast of the parasite; Upon closer observation, it is concluded that the activity of IMIPLASM-B® breaks down the mitochondrial activity of babesia, leading to its death. In addition, IMIPLASM-B® modifies the size of the nucleus and vacuolizes the cytoplasm of the parasite cells. DOSE:
For the treatment and control of Babesiosis or Anaplasmosis or mixed disease, apply at a rate of 2.5 ml per 100 kg of body weight. For the treatment and control of piroplasmosis, apply at a rate of 1 ml per 100 kg of body weight.

Subcutaneous or deep intramuscular.
