Mechanism of Action of Phenylbutazone:
It is characterized by its ability to inhibit cyclooxygenases, precursors in the synthesis of thromboxanes and prostaglandin, this is the most important mediator in the amplification of pain
Indications:
BUTORAL, due to its action, is recommended in the treatment of conditions such as laminitis, chronic arthritis, navicular disease, ringbone, bone esparavan, musculoskeletal system, tendinitis, carpitis, myositis, synovitis, bursitis, periostitis, in traumatic wounds and lacerations.
In cattle in the treatment of ketosis.
Applications:
Horses and cattle
Route of administration:
Oral, mixed in food or taken.
Dose:
Horses: 10 to 20 g (1 or 2 sachets) for 450 kg b.w. up to date
Adult cattle: 10 to 20 g (1 or 2 sachets) per day
Warnings:
Do not use in animals with a history of gastric ulcers or gastritis.
Keep in a cool, dry place.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not expose the product to sunlight.
