Acute and chronic inflammatory conditions of the locomotor system in horses. Arthritis, myositis, tendonitis, synovitis, osteitis, osteoarthritis. Shock, allergies, inflammatory or edema conditions of the airways. Colitis“X”. Hemoglobinuria. Photosensitivity. Neonatal maladjustment syndrome.
COMPOSITION: Dexamethasone 21 phosphate* 4 mg Excipients q.s. 1 mL.
PRESENTATION: Vials with 10, 50 and 100mL.
DOSAGE: Adult horses: 10 to 40 mg per day (equivalent to 2.5 to 10 mL) intramuscular or intravenous route. In the intra-articular or intra-synovial therapy, the amount to be injected will depend on the size of the joint. In the neonatal maladjustment syndrome, the dose is 10 mg every 12 hours (equivalent to 2.5ml). Since this is a fast-acting drug, it should not be used for more than 5 days. If it is necessary to continue with the treatment, gradually reduce the dose during the following days. This dose may be increased according to the acting of the professional in charge.
To be used in sport horses. Do not administer to horses that might be used for human food consumption.
