Septicemia, laryngitis, pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, nephritis, cystitis, metritis, equine adenitis, gas gangrene, tetanus, infected injuries, phlegmon, actinomycosis, actinobacillosis. In general, all those infections caused by germs that are sensitive to penicillin.
COMPOSITION AND PRESENTATION BOTTLE N° 1: Each bottle of powder contains: Sterile Penicillin “G” Sodium: 30.000.000. UI BOTTLE N° 2: Each bottle of solvent contains: Distilled water q.s. 50 mL
DOSAGE: For all the species, the dosage is 12.000 to 20.000 UI of penicillin per kg live weight per day. The total dose must be divided in 3 or 4 applications (every 4 to 6 hours). This is a conservative dose and can be increased in case it is necessary, according to the acting professional’s criteria. As a practical dosage, consider from 2 to 10 mL of the reconstituted solution each 100 kg/ live weight per day, divided in 3 or 4 applications.
ADMINISTRATION: Injectable via intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous or intracavitary route.
To be used in sport horses. Do not administer to horses that might be used for human food consumption.
PREPARATION OF THE SOLUTION: Dissolve the content of the bottle of Penicillin with the solvent provided to obtain a total volume of 60 mL of solution. If required (for example, the uterine lavage), dissolve the powder with the solvent provided and then dilute it with the necessary volume of physiological solution to get to the desired quantity in each case.
INCOMPATIBILITIES, CONTRAINDICATIONS, RESTRICTIONS OF USE: Do not use with animals that are allergic to penicillin. Do not dilute in vehicles other than distilled water, physiological solution or dextrose solution 5%.Do not combine with bacteriostatic agents.
