Rompun Bayer 25ml
Rompun is a compound with a calming and analgesic action, it is related to the depression of the central nervous system.
Its effect as a muscle relaxant is based on the inhibition of the transmission of nerve impulses in the muscle.
Throughout the action of Rompun the respiratory rate decreases, similar to the state of natural sleep; in parallel, cardiac activity also decreases and the temperature often rises for a short time.
After intravenous administration, Rompun also causes a moderate and transient decrease in blood pressure, preceded by a slight rise in blood pressure.
Rompun has no influence on blood clotting. The duration and intensity of the effect of Rompun depends on the dose and the mode of injection.
Taking these facts into account, the duration of the effect varies as follows:
Sedative effect: 30 minutes to several hours.
Muscle relaxation: 20 minutes to an hour and a half.
Analgesic effect: 10 to 45 minutes.
Rompun at the recommended doses, can be used together with local anesthetics based on procaine and lidocaine.
