Description:
Salix® is a powerful and fast-acting diuretic-saluretic specially formulated to provide rapid relief from edema in dogs, cats, horses, and cattle. It promotes the efficient removal of abnormally retained fluids associated with cardiac, hepatic, or renal conditions. Its unique chemical composition ensures effective action with minimal side effects, making it a reliable choice for veterinary professionals.

Indications:
Dogs & Cats: Treatment of edema related to cardiac insufficiency, pulmonary congestion, and ascites.
Horses: Effective for non-inflammatory tissue edema and pulmonary congestion. Not for horses intended for human consumption.
Cattle: Treatment of physiological parturient edema in the mammary gland and associated structures.
Dosage and Administration:
Dogs & Cats: 1/4 to 1/2 mL per 10 pounds of body weight, administered intramuscularly or intravenously once or twice daily with 6 to 8-hour intervals.
Horses: 5 to 10 mL (250–500 mg) once or twice daily intramuscularly or intravenously.
Cattle: 5 to 10 mL (250–500 mg) once or twice daily, not exceeding 48 hours post-parturition.
Precautions:
Monitor for signs of dehydration or electrolyte imbalance during treatment.
Not recommended for use in animals with anuria or severe renal conditions.
Potassium supplementation may be necessary in some cases.
Warnings:
Milk from treated cattle must not be used for food for 48 hours after the last treatment.
Cattle must not be slaughtered for food within 48 hours post-treatment.
Do not use in horses intended for human consumption.
How Supplied:
Available in 50 mL multidose vials containing 5% furosemide solution.
Store below 25°C (77°F), protect from light, and do not freeze.
