Formula: Sodium Dexamethasone Phosphate 0.2% (2mg/ml)
Indications: Allergic or inflammatory manifestations of various kinds.
– Acute and chronic inflammatory conditions of the locomotor system (myositis, tendinitis, synovitis, osteitis, osteoarthritis)
– Shock
– Allergy
– Inflammatory or edematous conditions of the airways
– Hemoglobinuria
– Photosensitivity
– Neonatal maladjustment syndrome
Dosage:
Canines and felines: 0.5 to 10 mL per 10 kg of body weight (0.1 to 2 mg/kg). Dosage interval: Every 24 hours.
In cases of shock: 11 to 22 mL per 10 kg of body weight (2.2 to 4.4 mg/kg) intravenously.
Routes of Administration: Intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intravenous.
Presentation:
100 mL vial
Contraindications:
– Do not use in cases of digestive ulcers or systemic mycoses
– Do not use in pulmonary infections or localized infections without appropriate antibiotic coverage
– Do not administer with vaccines or in the presence of osteoporosis
– Do not use in pregnant females during the last third of gestation
– Use not recommended for more than 7 days
– The manufacturer is not responsible for improper use
Side Effects:
– Sodium and fluid retention, potassium loss, muscle weakness, osteoporosis, delayed healing if administered in excess over long periods
Dosage:
– Intramuscular, intravenous, or intra-articular
– horses: 10mg to 40 mg per day (5ml to 20ml)
– Camels: 5mg to 20 mg per day (2.5ml to 10 ml)
